Center Stage Productions is opening applications for a Summer Internship Program for local high school students to get involved in the performing arts in the community!
This summer, interns will have the opportunity to assist in collaborating with directors on our junior production!

About Internships
At Center Stage Productions, we are focused on education; the community receives the wonderful byproduct of this: high-quality musical theatre performances from local youth. Along with our three past seasons of summer productions, we are also in the middle of holding our fourth season of workshops for youth, all which are geared toward a different aspect of theatre. Part of our vision is also to give students the opportunity to have leadership roles in productions, furthering not only their theatrical capabilities, but also real-world applications of what they will learn: direction, communication, collaboration, education, organization, and problem-solving skills. Enter our internship program!
Selected Interns will take leadership roles in rehearsals, meaning they must be available for most (at least 85% of) rehearsals. Please ensure you are available for the following rehearsal and performance dates before applying:
-
March 6, 7, 8 for pre-meetings and auditions
-
8:30am-1pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from June 8-August 1 for rehearsals
-
August 2 and 9 at 1pm and 4pm, August 3 and 10 at 6:30pm for performances (Interns will be called two hours prior)
-
There will be some additional time required to help with planning, set-building, costuming, etc. Those dates will be scheduled with the directors at a later time.
Three documents must be completed to apply:
-
The applicant's resume.
-
The applicant's cover letter, which should introduce the applicant, describe their experience with theatre, explain why they are interested in becoming an Intern, state what skills they can contribute to the production, and what they hope to gain from the experience. Please include two references.
All three completed documents should be saved as .pdf files and attached and emailed to centerstageproductions.ys@gmail.com no later than 8pm on Saturday, January 31st. No late applications will be accepted.
Candidates will be contacted by February 5th to schedule an interview.
All applicants will be contacted by February 20th with final decisions.
